TELT (Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin)
The Lyon–Turin railway connects France and Italy across the Alps. The cross-border section extends between Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in France and Susa in Italy, with the 57.5 km Mont Cenis Base Tunnel forming the centrepiece of the project. Once completed, the new rail connection will strengthen cross-Alpine rail transport and support the shift of freight from road to rail.
Amberg Engineering has been involved in the project since the design and tendering stages. Since 2017, Amberg has been part of ALLTI (Alliance Lyon Turin Ingénierie), the engineering consortium appointed by TELT for engineering services on the French side. Today, Amberg supports construction supervision on sections CO5 and CO11, contributing its expertise in tunnelling, underground construction and the management of excavated materials.
