Amberg Engineering Shares Expertise on Life Cycle Assessment at the University of Innsbruck
As part of the University of Innsbruck Lunchtime Lecture Series, Daniel Schiefer represented Amberg Engineering as a distinguished guest lecturer on 11 June 2026 within the course of Sustainable Building in the Alpine Region.
In his presentation, "Use of Life Cycle Analyses to Determine the CO₂ Savings Potential on Construction Sites," Daniel shared practical insights into how life cycle analyses can be used to identify concrete CO₂ reduction potentials on construction sites. Using examples from engineering experience, he demonstrated how life cycle assessment supports informed decision-making throughout the planning and construction process and serves as a key building block for sustainable construction in the sensitive Alpine region.
The lecture provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with students and researchers while highlighting the importance of integrating sustainability into engineering practice.
We are grateful to the University of Innsbruck for the invitation and look forward to continuing the dialogue between academia and industry to advance more sustainable infrastructure and construction. At Amberg Engineering, we are proud to contribute to discussions around innovation, CO₂ reduction, and the future of sustainable engineering.
