For 60 years, Amberg Engineering has been shaping what lies beneath our feet — from the Gotthard Base Tunnel and the Vereina Tunnel to major urban infrastructure projects around the world.
With more than 800 projects delivered in 25+ countries across five continents, our work spans tunnels, metro systems, water and energy infrastructure, research facilities and complex transport systems. What has driven us from the very beginning is a strong pioneering spirit: creating connections and infrastructure that bring people, regions and ideas closer together — today and for generations to come.
As we mark our 60th anniversary, our focus is firmly on the future. We invest in digital integration (BIM, GIS, Digital Twins), sustainable design and circular construction to improve the full life cycle of complex infrastructure. Safety remains central — through advanced ventilation, fire and life safety concepts and integrated risk management, during construction and operation. We develop new underground space and energy solutions, supported by smart monitoring, automation and AI, in collaboration with Amberg Infra 7D and Amberg Technologies. Beyond tunnelling, we continue to expand into energy, mining, structural engineering and asset management.
60 years of experience. One clear ambition: to keep pushing the boundaries of underground and infrastructure engineering — safely, sustainably and intelligently.
