Around 60 employees from Amberg Engineering, together with our locations in Cologne, Nyon and Chur, attended this year's end-of-year dinner.
This year we celebrated in the ewz's impressive Selnau power plant, where Impact Hub and Haus Konstrukiv Museum are located. Amberg Engineering, in collaboration with SCAUT and Rapp AG, is currently carrying out a feasibility study on alternative underground locations for a new ewz energy center. According to ewz's current plans, this should be accommodated in the power plant. However, for urban planning reasons and because the power plant with its current use is an important location on the Gessnerallee cultural mile and is viewed as a gateway to the city, this is rejected by the IG Selnau, which also commissioned the study, and alternative locations are being sought. An exciting study for Amberg Engineering, due to be published in January.
The evening started with mulled wine and chestnuts around the outdoor campfire, with a welcome from the co-founder of the Impact Hub Christoph Birkholz (co-founder Impact hub and client of the feasibility study on alternative underground sites). The celebration then continued in the restaurant area of the power plant with a sophisticated pumpkin starter, fondue feast and gingerbread mousse.
A group photo and several photo sessions took place in the 1st basement, where a Christmas photo backdrop was set up.
At the beginning, our CEO Franz Pacher, who invited us to the banquet, gave a thought-provoking and philosophical speech.
Last but not least, the UGLY xmas sweater contest was held and the three best were voted for in a convivial atmosphere.
Congratulations on the successful Christmas looks. Many more let their creativity run wild and punctuated the evening with fun and elegant looks.
