GEOMECHANICS COLLOQUIUM SALZBURG

PARTICIPATION OF AMBERG ENGINEERING AND PRESENTATION OF THE ÖGG YOUNG MEMBERS

The Austrian National Committee of the ITA (International Tunneling and Underground Space Association) held the 13th Austrian Tunnel Day in Salzburg on October 12, 2022.

The annual Geomechanics Colloquium has developed into an important meeting place for experts in Central Europe. The event with the associated exhibition usually attracts over 800 participants each year, making it one of the largest annual events in the field of geomechanics worldwide.

Numerous colleagues from Amberg Engineering used the participation in the Geomechanics Colloquium and the 13th Austrian Tunnel Day in Salzburg constructively: to meet colleagues, partners and clients from the industry in a relaxed atmosphere at the perfectly organized event and to exchange ideas intensively about the present and the future.

Special thanks goes to Elisabeth Sattlegger who together with other young colleagues from Amberg Engineering, is actively chairing the Austrian Young Members Group.

Elisabeth gave a great speech at the opening of the tunnel day to introduce the ÖGG Young Members Austria. The group offers young people in tunnel construction a platform for technical and social exchange among their peers. Embedded in the ITA the group is supported by the Austrian Geotechnical Society and ÖGG (Austrian Society for Geomechanics).
