WUF12 in Cairo, Egypt

The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the foremost global conference on sustainable urbanisation.

The WUF was established in 2001 by the United Nations to address one of the most critical issues facing the world today: rapid urbanisation and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change and policies. The inaugural WUF was held in Nairobi, Kenya in 2002 and has been held in various locations worldwide ever since.

WUF12 is set to bring together a diverse range of stakeholders, including representatives from national, regional and local governments, academia, business, community leadership, urban planning and civil society. The event is co-organised by the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and is expected to attract thousands of attendees.
